We continue our search for NFT projects by talking today about Polkamon, one of the most anticipated Polkastarter projects of March 2021. The project is inspired by the famous pokemon game and offers dozens of digital animals of different shapes and rarities. And it all relies on Polkamon’s proprietary token: $PMON.
Polkamon – The game everyone will love
Polkamons are digital animals with different levels of rarity that can be bought or exchanged for PMON tokens. Each of these is linked to an underlying NFT that makes it unique. There are of course classic Polkamons that have been created in thousands of copies, but there are also ultra-rare Polkamons that can be found in very few copies. The rarer a token is, the higher its selling price will be. And like any collectible, the longer you keep it, the more valuable it will be if the game is successful (which is almost certain given the high mainstream interest in NFTs).
The two greatest qualities of Polkamon are the deflationary supply and cross-chain functionality. What does this mean? That the number of PMON tokens in existence will be lower and lower due to the various burns that will take place during each token swap. And obviously the lower the supply of a token, the higher its price. Furthermore, the whole project is cross-chain, i.e. it works on different blockchains such as Ethereum, Polkadot and so on. The crypto world often changes face and perhaps a blockchain that is widely used today could be overtaken by a different blockchain in the near future. For this reason, cross-chain projects are the ones with the most interest. Being able to adapt is essential in this new world!
Unlike other NFT projects, Polkamon will also come in a mobile version so that you can always carry your favourite Polkamon with you. These will be available in different colours, glitter and other special features to help you stand out against similar NFTs. You can also add music to make the NFTs almost real! A unique experience! And along with the mobile apps, there will also be Widgets that will allow users to always check the status of their favourite Polkamon.
The official website specifies that the meta-data of each Polkamon is already created with the intention of being usable and integrable on Layer 2 solutions, those solutions that make the Ethereum network cheaper and faster.
At the moment, the Polkamon collection includes five different models: Uniturtle, Uniaqua, Bitcoin, Ethereum and Monero. More Polkamons will be added in the future and all of them will be visible on the collections page of the official website, available at this link! Of the 5 already present, the rarest at the moment is Uniaqua, while the least rare is Bitcoin.
The PMON token from Polkamon
The PMON token will be made available tomorrow on Polkastater’s launch platform. For those interested in holding or trading, the maximum supply of the token is 10 million units. The initial supply will be 1.8 million tokens, or 18% of the entire supply. The launch price on Uniswap, which will arrive immediately after Polkastarter, will be 0.40 cents, so a fully diluted marketcap of about $4 million. Typically, however, projects that pass through Polkastarter have experienced dramatic rises, so the price of 0.40 cents will be immediately increased several times in our opinion. Avoid trading in the first few minutes as there are always faster bots that buy large amounts of tokens and then sell them at higher prices! The best time to buy is a few hours after listing!
