A few days ago we wrote an article explaining how to use the MetaMask wallet on Binance Smart Chain and on the various popular DEXs of this sidechain, which received a lot of interest from our readers. That’s why today we want to continue on this path, explaining this time something even more wonderful: how to use PancakeSwap directly from your smartphone. Until now, it seemed too difficult and many people gave up, but thanks to this method, you will surely want to trade on PancakeSwap again. P.s. This guide is of course also valid for all other DEXs (both on Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain).
How to use PancakeSwap from Mobile
First of all, you have to download one of the best wallets in the world: TrustWallet. This wallet belongs to Binance and is one of the fastest and most secure wallets around (it is also non-custodial, so your funds are yours only and nobody else’s). It has become very popular lately due to the great success of community-based tokens such as SafeMoon, SafeMars and so on. Once you have downloaded the wallet and created an account, you will quickly see that TrustWallet supports both chains (Ethereum and BSC) and allows you to deposit both ERC20 and BEP20 tokens. But how do you use these tokens to exchange them for other tokens? By using a trick that we will now show you.
Months ago TrustWallet came with an integrated browser but due to Apple’s super restrictive policy, the browser has been removed from the Standard App. However, there is a very easy way to bring it back, which is by typing a simple command-line into your phone’s default browser.
- 1) Open Safari or Chrome or whatever your smartphone’s default browser is;
- 2) Paste this line of code into the address bar: trust://browser_enable;
- 3) Click ENTER
- 4) You will now be redirected to the TrustWallet App and you will see a new function on the bottom left: ‘Browser’.
Now that you have the browser you just need to find the direct link to the token you are trying to buy or sell and paste that address into the TrustWallet browser. That’s it! For example, if you want to buy SafeMoon tokens (which are BEP20 tokens) go to CoinGecko, search for SafeMoon and open the token’s page, go to the bottom of the ‘Markets’ section and click on the SAFEMOON/BNB link (in the same line where it says PancakeSwap). Now take the link it will have opened for you and copy and paste it into your TrustWallet browser. That’s it! Obviously, to trade on PancakeSwap you will need BNB (Binance Coin) tokens to pay the fees, if you use this system to trade on Uniswap (where you will find ERC20 tokens) you will need ETH to pay the fees.
If this method doesn’t work then open PancakeSwap directly from your smartphone browser and connect TrustWallet via WalletConnect (we don’t like this second option as the first one involves fewer steps and almost never crashes).
And finally, if you have problems selling BEP20 tokens, remember to check the price slippage required for the token and try to sell only whole numbers and no decimals. So if you have 1 million 328,000 tokens, sell only 1.3 million. With these changes, you should be able to sell with confidence and solve all the problems you usually encounter on PancakeSwap. Happy Trading!
